What a crazy week it has been and it’s only Thursday! I hope you all having a good week and ready to start the weekend.
UPDATE: Considering everyone may not have periscope. I decided to upload my trip to the American Girl doll store on my YouTube channel “Marion Creations “. I hope y’all enjoy!
If you follow me on periscope@marionlovenotes you probably already seen vlog live or watch the replay of my visit to the American Girl Doll Store about two weeks ago. I know this blog is well over due, life gets busy sometimes and as most humans I forget a few things.
For those of you who didn’t know, I’m a huge American Girl Doll fan and have been for years. Currently I have 3 dolls (Addy Walker, Truly Me #26 Charlotte Rose, and Melody Ellison). I been very blessed to have all my dolls gifted to me. I will blog more about the history of me getting these dolls later. Today I want to share with you my experience at her block party at the American Girl doll store.
The American Girl doll store had a line around the side for those who wanted to participate in the block party activities. They even had one of the employees dressed up as Melody, which I thought was cute. I was more interested in going into the store and purchasing the doll before the the store got crowded.
As you can tell from the pictures, the displays that they set up for Melody was lovely. I was so excited to finally be able to get my hands on her. All in all I enjoyed going to the American Girl doll store, and can’t wait to add more of Melody’s accessories to my collection. Don’t forget to check out my periscope@marionlovenotes to watch my experience and get my live reaction of Melody’s Block Party at the American Girl doll store.
I hope your weekend went well, mine was very productive weekend. I did a lot of cleaning, organizing, redecorating, and a bunch of window shopping! Today I uploaded a vlog about my ‘Transitional Elegant Tablescape’. I love decorating my dinning table that Ken & I purchased from Worldmarket. In the vlog I talked about where I purchased the items that are on my dinning table. I have a Pinterest board called Home Sweet Home, where I pin most of the home décor that I have already purchased for our home. As well as home décor items that I would like to add to our home. Like I mentioned in the vlog a lot of the items I already had and now re-using in a different way.
I forget to mention that I purchased two of the silver charger plates from Worldmarket. I used them at the head of the table. @maionlovenotes
I love to use fresh flowers however you can use fake flowers if you want to. This elephant teapot that I got from Worldmarket is super cute on my dinning table. @marionlovenotes
For those of you who don’t drink wine these lovely bottles of sparkling water and soda are the perfect choice for you! I hope you enjoy my transitional tablescape!
Feel free to check me out on all of my social media sites @marionlovenotes to see more.
P.S. I almost forgot to mention that Worldmarket has Halloween theme wine bottles, that would look great in a Halloween inspired tablescape. These wine bottles are a perfect touch to any adult Halloween party that you may be hosting are even a great hostess gift to give when going to a party!
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and the Christmas cards that you have receive from family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers are piling up quickly. At least this is what happens to me every year. In the years past I stacked my Christmas cards on the coffee table or taped them to the door, however this year I wanted to do something different. I decided to make a Christmas card wreath to display my cards in a creative way. I’ve seen these wreaths on Pinterest and Youtube.
I tried to take a picture of each step so you can see how I made my Christmas card wreath. This is also a great project that you can do with the kids at home. You can make this wreath in whatever color your want and you can make your wreath smaller or bigger then mine.
The supplies that you will need are:
-hot glue sticks
-hot glue gun
-wire wreath form
-old cup for water
*You can find all of these supplies and at stores like; The Dollar Store, Walmart, Target, Jo-Ann’s, and Michael’s Art & Crafts Store. You can also use green spray paint, however I used blue, yellow, white paint colors to get different shades of green.
1.) The first thing that I did was lay out my clothes pins around the wire wreath to make sure I had enough. I also went ahead and mixed my paint colors to make the different shades of green that I wanted.
After you are finish gluing the clothes pins on the wreath form you are all done!
I hope you enjoyed my DIY Christmas wreath tutorial! Tag me on social media @marionlovenotes if you try this tutorial out. I would love to see your creations!
I am so excited to be able to post my first blog post here on my new blog marionlovenotes.com (I’m no longer marionlovenotes.BlogSpot.com anymore)!
How was your weekend? What did you do? Let me know in the comments below. I had such busy but fun packed weekend that I shared bits and pieces with y’all on Instagram. I helped planned a surprise bachelorette party for one of my co-workers, that we hosted this past Saturday. I made a super yummy grapefruit sangria that I ended up adding a grapefruit flavor vodka to. I also whipped up a garden pasta that everyone seem to love.
Earlier today I uploaded a vlog about meal planning that I previous recorded on Periscope (follow me @marionlovenotes to catch my next scope). I also wanted to share it here with my blog followers who may find meal planning to be stressful and not useful to them. At first I didn’t think meal planning was something that I thought I would be interested in. However I found that I save a lot of time trying to figure out what I am going to eat as well as money going out to eat. In this vlog I explain how simple meal planning can be and how I meal plan for my family. I do have other meal planning/ organization related vlogs on my Youtube Channel.
If you have any questions about how I meal plan feel free to leave them below. Or if you have any tips on how you meal plan, please feel free to share them in the comment section. I would love to know what works for you and your family.
