Transitional Elegant Tablescape |September 2016

 Good evening y’all!

@marionlovenotes
@marionlovenotes

I hope your weekend went well, mine was very productive weekend. I did a lot of cleaning, organizing, redecorating, and a bunch of window shopping! Today I uploaded a vlog about my ‘Transitional Elegant Tablescape’. I love decorating my dinning table that Ken & I purchased from Worldmarket. In the vlog I talked about where I purchased the items that are on my dinning table. I have a Pinterest  board called Home Sweet Home, where I pin most of the home décor that I have already purchased for our home. As well as home décor items that I would like to add to our home. Like I mentioned in the vlog a lot of the items I already had and now re-using in a different way.

For those of you who don’t drink wine these lovely bottles of sparkling water and soda are the perfect choice for you! I hope you enjoy my transitional tablescape!

Feel free to check me out on all of my social media sites @marionlovenotes to see more.

P.S. I almost forgot to mention that Worldmarket has Halloween theme wine bottles, that would look great in a Halloween inspired tablescape. These wine bottles are a perfect touch to any adult Halloween party that you may be hosting are even a great hostess gift to give when going to a party!

DIY Christmas Card Wreath

My Christmas Card Wreath

Good morning y’all!

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and the Christmas cards that you have receive from family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers are piling up quickly. At least this is what happens to me every year. In the years past I stacked my Christmas cards on the coffee table or taped them to the door, however this year I wanted to do something different. I decided to make a Christmas card wreath to display my cards in a creative way. I’ve seen these wreaths on Pinterest and Youtube.

I tried to take a picture of each step so you can see how I made my Christmas card wreath. This is also a great project that you can do with the kids at home.  You can make this wreath in whatever color your want and you can make your wreath smaller or bigger then mine.

The supplies that you will need are:

-hot glue sticks

-hot glue gun

-clothes pins

-wire wreath form

-green paint

-paint brushes

-old cup for water

*You can find all of these supplies and at stores like; The Dollar Store, Walmart, Target, Jo-Ann’s, and Michael’s Art & Crafts Store. You can also use green spray paint, however I used blue, yellow, white paint colors to get different shades of green.

1.) The first thing that I did was lay out my clothes pins around the wire wreath to make sure I had enough. I also went ahead and mixed my paint colors to make the different shades of green that I wanted.

2.) Next I painted the clothes pins the different shades of green that I mixed. I only painted the top and sides sense the back is not going to be shown. I let the clothes pins dry completely over night.

3.) Then I hot glued the clothes pins to the wire wreath form. Make sure as you are gluing your clothes pins on the wire wreath form, that you are gluing the opening part of the clothes pins on the outside.

4.) After I glued all the clothes pins on the wire form I flipped the wreath over and added hot glue to the back for added security.

After you are finish gluing the clothes pins on the wreath form you are all done!

I decided to hang my wreath on the inside of my front door using a joy angel wreath hook that I found at Wal-Mart.

I hope you enjoyed my DIY Christmas wreath tutorial! Tag me on social media @marionlovenotes if you try this tutorial out. I would love to see your creations!

Simple Meal Planning Tips

Happy Monday Evening Y’all!

I am so excited to be able to post my first blog post here on my new blog marionlovenotes.com (I’m no longer marionlovenotes.BlogSpot.com anymore)!

How was your weekend? What did you do? Let me know in the comments below. I had such busy but fun packed weekend that I shared bits and pieces with y’all on Instagram. I helped planned a surprise bachelorette party for one of my co-workers, that we hosted this past Saturday. I made a super yummy grapefruit sangria that I ended up adding a grapefruit flavor vodka to. I also whipped up a garden pasta  that  everyone seem to love.

Earlier today I uploaded a vlog about meal planning that I previous recorded on Periscope (follow me @marionlovenotes to catch my next scope). I also wanted to share it here with my blog followers who may find meal planning to be stressful and not useful to them. At first I didn’t think meal planning was something that I thought I would be interested in. However I found that I save a lot of time trying to figure out what I am going to eat as well as money going out to eat. In this vlog I explain how simple meal planning can be and how I meal plan for my family. I do have other meal planning/ organization related vlogs on my Youtube Channel.

If you have any questions about how I meal plan feel free to leave them below. Or if you have any tips on how you meal plan, please feel free to share them in the comment section. I would love to know what works for you and your family.
