🌎Happy Earth Day!🌎

Good afternoon friends,

I almost forgot that today was Earth day 🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ No worries if you forgot too, I got you covered! My mom friend over at Crafts & Coffee Cafe . Have some posts on her blog of fun Earth day 🌎 activities that you can do with your preschool/ elementary age child(ren).

Today we decided to create a “green house” using plastic zip block baggies. On her blog she has a FREE printable for you to use as your green house. Unfortunately my printer didn’t want to work with me so we had to improvised.

Tripp was really excited to show off his green house. 😊

We have been doing a lot of planting seeds lately. Tripp like most toddlers likes to throw a bunch of seeds in one small tiny hole and then tries to eat them 😬), however this is a great learning experience for him.

Sometimes as homeschool parents we get so involved in just doing math and reading 📚 we forget about the fun science experiences that our chid(ren) would enjoy.

I hope y’all are getting outside today and enjoying this beautiful day. Plants some seeds and watch them grow!

Toy Organization|(Boy) Toddler Homeschool & Playroom Room Tour

Good morning friends!

Today I wanted to share a vlog that I previously recorded about my son’s playroom/ homeschool space. Sense most of us are stuck at home this vlog might be helpful to some who could use some extra inspiration. I absolutely love this space and my son actually plays with his toys more now. I didn’t buy much of any thing when creating this space. I primarily moved things around in our home that wasn’t been use effectively. I hope y’all enjoy my quick vlog of my son’s space and let it encourage you to do some rearranging of your on.

Welcome to Blogmas 2019!

Hey friends!

Its the third day of December and I just now decided to do blogmas here on my blog. I will be posting almost daily my family’s Christmas and Kwanzaa experiences. I love the idea of sharing a little bit of our Christmas and Kwanzaa magic here on my blog.

I was very much so inspired to go ahead and start posting on my blog after watching Jen on Pretty Neat Living vlog. She talked about not waiting for her blog posts to be perfect or pinterest looking worthy.

Another reason why I was so discouraged to post anyone is to be completely honest I felt like it was a waste of time. I don’t have a large following on any of my social media platforms. I don’t have people commenting on any of my posts (I know first world problems). But then I remembered that I’m doing this for me and not for anyone else.

So here I am posting my family’s Christmas and Kwanzaa experiences with y’all. I have a lot I want to share (mostly my holiday decorations & recipes). This is our second year celebrating kwanzaa as a family. I bought my first Kinara from an Etsy shop called Ashakiwood 🤗 its gorgeous and can’t wait for it to get in the mail. We will talk about that on another blog.

I have so much I want to share but we will save that for another blog post.

Homeschool Mamas that Inspire Me

Hey friends! Today I want to share with y’all some homeschool mamas that inspire me and bring me joy. I have a variety of different types of Mamas from podcasts, blogs, Instagram, and YouTube to share with y’all. I find it helpful to get encouragement from these mamas and wanted to share them with you.

Homeschool Sisters Podcast

I really enjoy listening to their podcasts about homeschool and motherhood. They are real women going through this homeschool journey and sharing their stories with the world. I hope they continue to upload more podcasts about homeschool topics because I have learned so much from them.

Jady A

I absolutely love how simple and affordable she has made homeschooling for her viewers. She amazing YouTube vlogs about homeschool and motherhood. She also has a teachers pay teachers store for those of you who want affordable preschool printables to use with your child.

Syreena

Syreena has amazing vlogs on her YouTube channel showing her viewers how she homeschool her 3 children. I wish she had a podcast so I could just listen to her talk all day. 🤣 She has such a calming spirit and a positive attitude.

Erica

Erica from my busy bees is full of knowledge! She is another mama that I need to have her own podcast. Erica talks about a lot of different homeschool curriculums and how she homeschools her large family. I cannot say enough positive things about her. I also think Erica would have a great podcast too. Please follow her on all of her social media things that she has you will not be disappointed.

Marketa

Marketa has an inspiring Instagram account showing her followers how she uses the Montessori learning style in her homeschool. She is a mom of two (boy and girl) and they are always doing hands on learning activities.

Christina

Christina from the purple alphabet has a ton of hands on activities that you can use rather you are homeschooling or needing something to do with the kids when they are home from school. She has a bunch of videos on her YouTube channel for all to watch.

Brittany Lynn

She was homeschooled herself and is now homeschooling her two girls. Even though she is new to homeschooling she has homeschool vlogs on YouTube that I think you will enjoy. She has introduced me to different blogs where I found some really great free printables that I use with my son.

Becky

Becky better know as “This Reading Mama” has a fabulous website and blog. I love her website! She has so many FREE resources on her website. She also have different bundles that you can buy and use in your homeschool. I love that she have activities that my little one can take part too as well.

There are so many other resources for homeschool moms out there and it can become overwhelming at times. If you know any other mamas that have great content rather it’s a blog, podcast, teacher pay teachers store, or YouTube channel please leave there information in the comments section below. I’m always on the hunt for more and want this blog post to become a great resource for others.

Toddler Diaper bag Must Haves| Everyday Essentials|Summer Edition

Good morning friends!

Happy Saturday to everyone, how have your week been so far? This has been a laid back week (I’m NOT complaining) for me here at the house.

Not to long ago I uploaded a vlog showing y’all what I keep in my toddler’s diaper bag. Today I thought I would write a list and provide links to almost every mentioned in that vlog.

Before we get into what I keep in my son’s diaper bag, let’s have a little chat about the bag itself. I was gifted this diaper book bag from my Nana during my baby shower. I have used this bag every day sense I’ve had my son. It’s just a basic diaper book bag that allows me to be hands free while I chase my son around in the stores. Ken loves this diaper bag just as much as I do. It’s not too big, so I don’t over pack it. Its the perfect size for everyday trips. We have taken this bag on the plane with us as a carry on and it fits just fine under the seat in front of us. Keep in mind that I only have one son and if you have multiple children under the age of 3 this probably won’t work for you.

Here is a list of what I keep in my in my Toddler’s diaper bag;

Diaper book bag

Extra change of clothes

Sun hat

Cloth diaper

Wipes

Changing pad

Change of clothes

Sunscreen

Bug spray

Thermometer

Nose Freida

Hair Brush

Snacks

Water cup

Bib

Chap stick

Travel size body wash

Hand sanitizer

Lotion

Toddler Toy Storage Solutions

Happy Thursday friends!

This week have been super busy for me but I was able to film my very first collab vlog with another YouTube Mama Brittany Lynn! I found her on YouTube through searching for homeschool vlogs and ended subscribering to her channel as well as following her on Instagram. She is such a fun person to watch and her to girls are really adorable. I’m so excited to call her my friend and hope that one day in the near future we could meet in person.

We decided to collab on a organize playroom/ play space idea vlog for y’all. We thought it would be fun to share our toy organization in hopes that it would give you guys ideas if you feel your self at lost on what to do with all your kid(s) toys.

I like to keep this cube self that I got from Target in my son’s room to help hold his extra toys that are not currently in rotation (inside the grey bins). I’ll talked about toy rotation in another blog post but for more you can see how I easily store them away. The top shelves are reserved and quiet play toys in his bedroom.

I love using this toy organizer to hold all of his toys in our living room that he is currently playing with. I like that it’s super easy to clean up and easy for my son to pull toys out without my help. This also encourages independent play.

What child doesn’t like throwing things? Having balls are a must have in our house. My son loves to throw everything! I’ve been encouraging him to throw balls and not his hard cars 🙄. I currently keep his balls in this basket out of the way in the corner.

This is what is currently working for my family in our home. I do like to change things up as I see fit, and as my son gets older his interests changes.

Please watch my vlog to see my toy storage tips and also check out Brittany’s vlog too. I have a bunch of links down below for y’all to check out. I couldn’t find the exact ones that I have but these are close to it.
