My Christmas Card Wreath

Good morning y’all!

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and the Christmas cards that you have receive from family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers are piling up quickly. At least this is what happens to me every year. In the years past I stacked my Christmas cards on the coffee table or taped them to the door, however this year I wanted to do something different. I decided to make a Christmas card wreath to display my cards in a creative way. I’ve seen these wreaths on Pinterest and Youtube.

I tried to take a picture of each step so you can see how I made my Christmas card wreath. This is also a great project that you can do with the kids at home.  You can make this wreath in whatever color your want and you can make your wreath smaller or bigger then mine.

The supplies that you will need are:

-hot glue sticks

-hot glue gun

-clothes pins

-wire wreath form

-green paint

-paint brushes

-old cup for water

*You can find all of these supplies and at stores like; The Dollar Store, Walmart, Target, Jo-Ann’s, and Michael’s Art & Crafts Store. You can also use green spray paint, however I used blue, yellow, white paint colors to get different shades of green.

1.) The first thing that I did was lay out my clothes pins around the wire wreath to make sure I had enough. I also went ahead and mixed my paint colors to make the different shades of green that I wanted.

2.) Next I painted the clothes pins the different shades of green that I mixed. I only painted the top and sides sense the back is not going to be shown. I let the clothes pins dry completely over night.

3.) Then I hot glued the clothes pins to the wire wreath form. Make sure as you are gluing your clothes pins on the wire wreath form, that you are gluing the opening part of the clothes pins on the outside.

4.) After I glued all the clothes pins on the wire form I flipped the wreath over and added hot glue to the back for added security.

After you are finish gluing the clothes pins on the wreath form you are all done!

I decided to hang my wreath on the inside of my front door using a joy angel wreath hook that I found at Wal-Mart.
