Simple Meal Planning Tips

Happy Monday Evening Y’all!

I am so excited to be able to post my first blog post here on my new blog marionlovenotes.com (I’m no longer marionlovenotes.BlogSpot.com anymore)!

How was your weekend? What did you do? Let me know in the comments below. I had such busy but fun packed weekend that I shared bits and pieces with y’all on Instagram. I helped planned a surprise bachelorette party for one of my co-workers, that we hosted this past Saturday. I made a super yummy grapefruit sangria that I ended up adding a grapefruit flavor vodka to. I also whipped up a garden pasta  that  everyone seem to love.

Earlier today I uploaded a vlog about meal planning that I previous recorded on Periscope (follow me @marionlovenotes to catch my next scope). I also wanted to share it here with my blog followers who may find meal planning to be stressful and not useful to them. At first I didn’t think meal planning was something that I thought I would be interested in. However I found that I save a lot of time trying to figure out what I am going to eat as well as money going out to eat. In this vlog I explain how simple meal planning can be and how I meal plan for my family. I do have other meal planning/ organization related vlogs on my Youtube Channel.

If you have any questions about how I meal plan feel free to leave them below. Or if you have any tips on how you meal plan, please feel free to share them in the comment section. I would love to know what works for you and your family.

Reorganizing my Sewing/Craft/Office/Guest Room

Happy Monday Y’all!

This past weekend I’ve been working on reorganizing my multipurpose room that is in my home. I would like to use this room as an office, sewing and crafting area, and also a guest room when needed. Unfortunately I don’t have three separate rooms iny home to host those individual needs. So I decided to find a budget-friendly way to organize this one room to house all my needs.

As you can see from the pictures, my room is looking kind of crazy right now. If you have watch my previous vlogs you know that the bed has been move to the other wall. I wanted to move the bed there to allow for walking and crafting space in the room.

I would love to have a beautiful to cherry colored wood desk with lots of storage, however thats not in my budget right now. I’m going to use my old kitchen table  (the table is wooden card table from target years ago) as my desk.

I know its a mess and there are random items all over the place, however I thought y’all would enjoy seeing the before. If you have any tips, suggestions, or questions feel free to leave them in the comment section below. 🙂

Lemon Cucumber Mint Detox Water

Hey y’all!

This morning I uploaded a vlog one of my favorite detox drinks to put together this summer. Everyone knows that drinking water daily is healthy but did you know that adding lemon, cucumber, and mint to your water takes the healthiness up another level. Putting cucumber, lemon, and mint in your water can help you get ride of belly fat, digest food better, clear skin, and much more! You can google all of the health benefits for each one of these ingredients for yourself and decide if this detox drink is best for you. I’ve seen other recipes on Pinterst where people put watermelon, strawberries, and other fruits in their water (prefer this recipe the best). I love to pour this detox water into my hot tea to cool it down just enough to drink without watering it down too much.

You will want to cut the cucumber slices as thin a possible to get the most flavor into your detox water.

I found this pitcher at Marshalls for under $20, the perfect size and it doesn’t take up a lot of space in my refrigerator.
